The start of the story Hazel believes everything is good and there is a solution for everything when we have problems. According to Todorov theory this is called a equilibrium.
Hazel had thyroid cancer but unfortunately it spread to lung cancer. Hazel's mother tell Hazel to go to a weekly cancer support group to make some friends.The significant event is Hazel met Augustus Waters who is a boy who has bone cancer.The climax is Hazel got cancer and she doesn't want to hurt the boy when she dies. This is called disequilibrium. Hazel and Augustus spend the night together in the hotel. The next day Augustus tells Hazel that his cancer has returned and spread throughout his body. Hazel was heartbroken and upset, expressing how the life is unfair. Augustus heath get worst then he was taken to the ICU. Augustus invited his best friend to his pre-funeral. He died when he was 17 years old and he gave Hazel a piece of paper, Hazel read the piece of paper and accept his death and his love for her. She lies on her lawn and look at the star and she said okay.
The new equilibrium is she tries to talk to the boy and get close to him. She wants to be with this boy because she wants to have relationship with the boy and spend time with him. She also feels normal and happy when she is with this boy which helps her not to think about cancer.
